Jason Moreland – Dojo Cho – Chief Instructor

Moreland Sensei started training in Karate in 1991 and continued until 2001. Then started Aikido training under Richard Germany who was head of the Satellite Dojo in Springdale under Sensei James Jones. In Early 2003 Moreland Sensei took over as Dojo Cho. Being only 4th Kyu Moreland Sensei drove to Fort Smith and back, 4-5 Days a week for over a year while also continuing to teach in Springdale. In 2004 Moreland Sensei went to Chicago to be Kenshusei  student under Sato Sensei, then Chief Instructor of the AAA. During this time Moreland Sensei met Ed Germanov Sensei and trained with him as a Kenshusei student. It was during this time Moreland Sensei was promoted to Shodan and officially became Dojo Cho. Moreland Sensei trained under Sato Sensei from 2001 until 2009. In ’09 Moreland Sensei joined the BAA under Ed Germanov Sensei to follow his style of Aikido, which became his own style as a Kenshusei student. Moreland Sensei is Sandan Aikikai, recognized by Hombu dojo in Japan.

Kathy Evans Sensei – Assistant Instructor

Kathy Evans Sensei is recognized by Hombu Dojo in Japan as Nidan (2nd degree black belt) Aikikai. Kathy’s first Aikido seminar was in January 2004; she’s trained in 8 different states; and has participated in over 30 seminars (instructor and training seminars). She enjoys working one on one to support class training and teaching others. Kathy began her quest into Aikido at a crossroads in life as a way to find balance, specifically to compete with herself in meeting the challenges in life through an expressive martial art form.

Dave Strong Sensei- Assistant Instructor

Dave Strong Sensei is Nidan (2nd degree black belt) Aikikai, recognized by Hombu Dojo in Japan. Dave began his study of martial arts in Taekwondo in 1998. He began his study of Aikido in 2005. Dave has always had a passion for learning and teaching. Dave has made a career out of training people. He loves Aikido for its unique perspective of life and the martial arts. Dave truly enjoys his journey of discovering the ways of Aikido and using his many years of training people to help them open their understanding of this wonderful art.
